There are childhood landscapes that never fade, they become the compass of a lifetime. For Anael Milena Oda, those landscapes were set in the cobblestone alleys of her village in the Bohemian Paradise of what was once Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic. A place of legends and light, it shaped her imagination and awakened her early connection to art, words, and spirit.
As a child, she would sit by the window, pen in hand, capturing stories of the people and myths that surrounded her. Even then, there was a quiet certainty that her life would not follow the ordinary. At just fourteen, she told her parents she was leaving home, not out of rebellion, but in search of her purpose. That journey would take her across Europe’s literary salons and, later on her spiritual path as an awaken soul to Egypt, USA, Peru, and in the last years to the volcanic mountains of the Caribbean.
“Encountering others is really encountering yourself,” Anael says, a philosophy that continues to shape both her art, her spirituality and her enterprise.
Anael began her career as a writer in the German language, carrying the cultural roots of Bohemia in her heart. Her writing bridged Central European lyricism with global sensibilities, earning her literary recognition, including an award associated with Nobel Laureate Günter Grass or with a prestigious Iowa University scholarship.
By her late teens, she was already a published author, reading at festivals across Europe and celebrated for her cross-cultural voice.
A true polyglot, Anael speaks daily and fluently Spanish, German, Czech, English, well French, Italian and Russian. “Language,” she says, “isn’t just a communication; it’s an energy of our roots, it opens doors to the soul. And as a healer I am a soul reader with a cultural consciousness. ”
Yet, for Anael, words were only the beginning. “Writing (in not native language German) opened many doors to many interesting opportunities,” she reflects, “but also opened my eyes to the realization that words were only the starting point to the unseen world of the Divine. ”
That realization after years of healing herself and the world, led her to the Dominican Republic, where she encountered the rare Caribbean gemstone Larimar, directly at the mine, a stone so deeply oceanic in hue that it seemed to carry the calm of the heavens within it.
What began as fascination soon became vocation.
Out of that sacred connection, LARIMARITA was born, a brand that unites art, healing, and conscious entrepreneurship. For Anael, Larimar was never just a gem; it is a living soul, a transformation born from pressure, beauty born from depth.
Creating LARIMARITA was far from easy. As a woman in a male-dominated mining world and a foreigner in a postcolonial nation, she had to earn respect the hard way. But instead of breaking, she has been always building the soul bridges. She turned resistance into resonance, empowering local artisans and reimagining the mining process as one rooted in dignity, ethics, and community healing.
“From artist and writer to healing coach and business founder, it’s a grand soul adventure,” she says with a quiet pride.
Through LARIMARITA, Anael has transformed what jewelry means. Every handcrafted piece is designed not merely for adornment, but as a vessel of transformation, connecting people to purpose and inner harmony. Her vision of luxury isn’t about excess, it’s about essence.
Her global journey has taken her from Europe to Asia to the Americas, earning humanitarian recognition in India, a Buddha Scholarship in Nepal, and most recently, the ‘Voice of Empowerment’ Award at the Wyns Conference 2025 in Miami. But her definition of success remains rooted in humanity: in the miner who feels pride again, in the woman who finds her strength, and in the community that rediscovers hope.
For Anael, leadership is not about control, it’s about consciousness.
“A true leader knows herself, her weaknesses and her strengths,” she says. “Leadership is about creating more leaders, not followers. More creative people, or awake the sleeping ones. The leader must be a creator. ”
That belief lies at the heart of LARIMARITA, where locals are trained, mentored, and empowered to take ownership of their craft.
Today, LARIMARITA stands as a movement of mindful luxury, blending ethical sourcing, spiritual intention, and artistic excellence.
Through it, Anael Milena Oda has shown that business can heal, beauty can empower, and creation can be an act of compassion.
“My passion is HEALING,” she says. “Everything I do, from writing to crafting, is about awakening the soul to light and love.”
Like the Larimar stone itself, formed under volcanic fire and polished by the ocean, Anael’s life has been forged through trials and refined by purpose.
In a world chasing scale and speed, she reminds us that true impact lies in depth, in clarity, compassion, and the courage to build with love.
